At
Georgia Golf Performance (GGP) we have created the “Performance
Pathway” to serve as a guide for juniors to achieve the Performance goals
they desire. The Performance Pathway consists of:
- Playing Evaluations
- Golf Skill Evaluations
- Club PT Fitness/Physical Therapy Evaluations
The
critical information gathered through these 3 evaluations, combined with the
junior’s performance goals determines where the junior is placed on the Performance
Pathway:
1. Pathway to Fundamentals
2. Pathway to Foundations
3. Pathway to Elite Performance
4. Pathway to Collegiate Performance
5. Pathway to Tour Performance
A
junior can apply for an interview if they are new to GGP to ensure they are
placed at the correct level of the Performance Pathway.
Level 1 - Pathway
to Fundamentals (Red Hat)
8 and under
The first stop on the Performance Pathway
for ages 5 to 8 years is a
once a week 60-minute class that is designed to introduce the junior golfer to
the fundamentals of the game in a FUN learning environment geared specifically
for this age group. Juniors get to experience all phases of the game and fall
in love with the sport. Two sessions each month focus on athletic development and
FUNdamental training. One session each month we take the juniors on the golf course
for the coaching session. One session each month is for evaluating their golf skills
and athletic development.
9 and older
The first stop on the Performance Pathway
for ages 9 and older is
a once a week 90-minute class that introduces the junior golfer to the
fundamentals of the game in a FUN learning environment geared specifically for
the older junior. Juniors get to experience all phases of the game and develop
a passion for the sport. Two sessions each month focus on athletic development
and FUNdamental training. Once

development and testing those skills under competitive pressure, long term
performance plans, and on course coaching. Weekly classes are offered
year-round, with sessions being 2 hours each week.

Tour Performance (Black Hat)
The fifth and final stop on the Performance
Pathway is the Pathway to Tour Performance and is designed for the junior
who has made the decision that tour golf is their dream. Only certain highly
motivated juniors will make their way here. At GGP we are uniquely
qualified to lead our juniors to the tour, having multiple instructors on our
staff who have played at the highest levels of professional golf from major
championships to LPGA and web.com tour membership. The junior will
continue to improve on all areas of their athletic development under the guidance
of Club PT. By now your junior will have developed into a top player
and the focus will be on getting each of their skills up to a tour level of
performance.
